How PortoPro Started
PortoPro didn't start as a business plan. It started as two people who moved to Porto, fell in love with the city, and began investing in property here ourselves. Long before we ever represented a client, we were the client: standing in notary offices we didn't fully understand, working with agents whose incentives didn't line up with ours, and learning, sometimes the hard way, what the glossy brochures leave out.
That experience is exactly why PortoPro exists. We kept meeting other foreign buyers hitting the same walls we had: a market that moves fast, paperwork in a language and legal system they didn't grow up with, and no one whose only job was to represent them. So we built the company we wished we'd had: one where the person guiding you through the deal lives five minutes from the property, and answers to you, not to a seller or a commission.

Buying property from abroad means trusting people you've never met, in a process you can't fully verify, based on information you can't independently confirm. A regular real estate agency is paid by the seller, which means, structurally, its incentives point away from yours. And once the deal closes, most of the people you worked with disappear, leaving you to manage a property, and a tenant, from another country and another time zone. Dor leads the ground side (property inspections, leak detection, renovation oversight, and tenant sourcing), because a good investment on paper still has to hold up as a physical building someone will actually live in. As an investor and entrepreneur who lives and breathes Porto, she combines deep financial understanding with intimate knowledge of the local terrain, opportunities, and bureaucracy. The move from the high-tech world to Portugal's real estate arena was born from personal experience as an investor, where she identified the gap in the market and the critical need for a professional, transparent, and objective body. As an entrepreneur and hands-on man on the ground who lives and works in Porto, Dor brings PortoPro a practical approach, sharp technical vision, and an execution standard that doesn't compromise on any detail. He is your "eyes and hands" on the ground, with deep knowledge of construction, maintenance, and the local real estate market. His experience and direct connection to the field were born from the understanding that a successful property is measured not only by numbers on paper, but mainly by its physical quality and practical management. Out of the need for a reliable party who knows every corner of the apartment and can identify faults before they cost money, Dor brings an absolute commitment to transparency, precision, and full accountability.
